One of the biggest Elgg based communities we work for is the Pleio community. A community for all people working for or with the Dutch government. A place to collaborate, share and to meet people.
Pleio is not a regular Elgg installation, but it is a multi-site implementation. In this situation it means that you can create multiple Elgg site on a single code and database. User profiles are shared between sites as is their messages inbox.
